Easily my biggest and best accomplishment for 2017. At the end of November I was sitting on 22 books, which means I managed to read 13 books in December, which I’m pretty sure is a record for me. This year I’m aiming for 40!
The Testing series is SO good!!! It’s a combination of Hunger Games and Divergent but a million times better than both!! Definitely highly recommended!
Tuesdays with Morrie was our current read for #RosendeReads bookclub hosted by the man himself, Alberto Rosende. For those of you who don’t know Alberto, he plays (the perfect) Simon in the Shadowhunters tv series. His reading list has so far consisted of books considered to be classics, and ones I never would have read if it hadn’t have been for him. So far we’ve read Slaughterhouse Five, To Kill A Mockingbird, 1984, Diary of a Young Girl, The Alchemist, and now Tuesdays with Morrie. Our next reads are Fahrenheit 451 and Catch 22.
Check out the hashtag on twitter and Instagram and follow Alberto on twitter to find out more.
Do you know why bookworms find it so difficult to pick their favourite book? It’s because we find little pieces of ourselves scattered throughout so many of the stories we read. Combine the stories and you figure out the person. One person isn’t just one story. It’s all of them.

I know I haven’t posted anything original in a while but I just HAD to post this!!!
I just read this book from start to finish in one sitting. The last time I did that was when I read Anna and the French Kiss almost 2 years ago. This story is completely adorable, funny and relatable. I love Cinderella retellings - Ella Enchanted and the series of Disney films in particular - and I loved this too. The acknowledgment at the end has me in literal tears. Ashley truly understands what being part of fandom is like. How truly life changing it can be, as it was for me. From 15 years old onwards, the only friends I’ve ever really had are fictional. And I literally would not still be here today without them.
Like what you like no matter what others say. It’s not their life to live - it’s yours. Do what makes you happy. Fight for what you believe in and make your own dreams come true. Believe in yourself and your own impossible universe will become a reality.
